I hope you all had an excellent New Years Eve. I hear Belmont was bitter cold. My night consisted of celebrating with a bunch of other Peace Corps Volunteers, having cocktails and beer, little hot dogs, cheese and crackers, music and dancing were also invovled. All in all a good night and a great New Years Eve.
Tomorow is going to be a work day for me I have to get some plans set for safari and also do somethings in town. I need to fill out some forms and research stuff online for family back home as well. Also I want to visit the grocery store and pick up a few things, like quaker oatmeal, nutella, maybe some real cheese, get my gas can refilled.... and explore Natitingou a little bit more. Im feeilng more and more comfortable in Natitingou, I like it a lot better than I do Cotonou or Porto-Novo, this is possibly because Im not a big fan of larger cities, in Benin Ive heard the larger cities described as having 'all the problems of a big city back home, but none of the perks.' This statement I only somewhat agree with, there are perks like having more selection of food, and other things you can buy, but I dont think that the perks outnumber the problems such as feces everywhere, roads with huge pot holes, and questionable characters trying to sell you questionable goods.
Not really a whole lot to report about here but enjoy the leftover cocktails and finger food.

Mmmmmmmm, little hot dogs.
Sounds like your New Year's Eve was fun!!
I had to get up early today and head to work so I didn't make it until midnight (although at 6 PM here, that would be midnight in Benin, Judy and I did some celebrating in honor of all of you).
I sure do love your blog. "Feces everywhere": Classic. And true.
