You know its hot when...

When you have to wake up 3 times during the night to drink water and mop the sweat off your face, dip your sleep shirt in a bucket of cold water put it on and then attempt to go back to sleep. Oh yea the fan is also going on high, and youre sleeping in the coolest room in the entire house. March in Benin is hot, were in the middle of chaleur, its funny how chaleur and translated to english is hot. My cat has taken to sleeping on my concrete floor where its the coldest and has stopped snuggling with me as its too freaking hot. Oh yea shes also possibly pregnant... again.
The story with the last potential pregnancy is that my cat went out one night all fat and happy in her pregnant areas showing all signs of cat pregnancy, then she came in during the night, skinny and showing no signs of cat pregnancy, I find it hard to believe that my cat lost all of her pudge in a matter of hours, i figured she had her kittens outside somewhere, but she wasnt going out to visit them. Never saw kittens and she went back to being her normal self. Im thinking while its sad she didnt carry her kittens full term and had still born kittens, glad she had them outside. But anyway shes since found a boyfriend, Ive seen the little rascal, and now shes all fat again in her pregnant areas. Once again showing all signs of cat pregnancy. I hope that she gives birth to live kittens this time. Felt bad that she didnt last time although she didnt seem too torn up about it. How come Im so lucky as to end up with a super fertile cat?!
Other things that have been going on are that Ive been making mud stoves, some more. I really enjoy making them Ill be happy if I focus on them while living here in Bassila, what the volunteer who replaces me will do, not sure but thats a year and half away. Seems like the more women who I make mud stoves with the more women I find who are interested in having one at their house. Mostly because they see their friends mud stove and they want the training too. Of course my goal is that the women will be able to tell eachother how to make them but I cant expect them to remember everything about the stoves after only having made two. My shining examples of mud stoves are my women who have 5 in their concession each of them Ive watched or participated in the making of. They seem to forget to take the measure of the space between the ground and the pot theyre using. But thats ok after a few more theyll remember. All in all mud stoves are a sucessful project.
