CATS

My kittens are getting bigger and more and more obnoxious. They are busy busy kitties. Cute but busy. Back when they started exploring their world a few weeks ago I thought it might be a good idea to put up a barrier so that they didnt run all over my house. About 5 minutes after putting up the barrier Oose tore it down and after a few attempts of keeping it up thinking maybe she would eventually like her kitties in one place, but no she wanted her kittens to run free, ok whatever shes the mom im the human its cool. Lately this has backfired hugely for Oose. Although Im not so sure if any barrier would have contained them at this point. The past few nights Ive been waking up to Oose telling her kittens to get back to bed. Of course night time is when my mosquito net is in reach and they can climb to their hearts content because Im asleep. Theyve even figured out how to get onto my bed when the net is up during the day. Ive woken up a few times with kittens hanging off my mostquito net, Oose yelling at them to get down, and them telling Oose that the mosqito net is just more fun than sleeping. The amount sleep Ive been getting is directly linked to how active the kittens are at night. Oose has been sticking around keeping her kittens in line and not hunting as much. Shes a little frazzled. Last night was an exceptionally wild night for kittens. I woke up to Oose meowing quite a bit and a kitten meowing back there was another kitten who was playing in my bedsheet on my bed uner the moquito net, not sure how the kitten got under there. The kitten had become entangled in my bedsheet and was whining. I turn on my light and find out why Oose is having such a fit, one of her kittens is ON TOP of my mosquito net. Oose is looking up trying to figure out how to save her baby, her other kitten is on the floor wondering why mom is so worried and the third kitten is still wiggling in my sheet. Crazy night at chez moi with kittens.

Sounds like your kittens are doing a nice job of keeping you and Oose on your toes!!!
I guess all babies can keep their parents awake all night.....but I'm guessing the kittens, like human babies, are so darn cute that it's impossible to stay mad at them.
Keep enjoying your days!!
Best, Mark Loehrke (Carly's dad)

OH dear! I thought I had a hard time keeping up with my two year old! We put an offer in on a house yesterday, and it was accepted today! We will have lots of room when you get back to the states and should come visit! :)

i;ve been drinking tea out of my Mel mug for the past couple days. it doesn't taste right if i use any other mug.

Rah and the other kittens sound like me when I was little. the only thing that kept me in one place when I was being 'punished' aka keep me out of the way when my parents were cooking (cause I don't do trouble...) was my dad putting me on top of the fridge so I wouldn't try to escape.
