It's almost time to leave for Benin. I have a few more weeks where I can really get myself together and finalize some things including completing the Rosetta Stone hours. I know I can do it, it's just a matter of actually sitting down and finishing them, I am determined to complete the hours. I've really started setting things aside for my trip, putting other things in boxes to keep and give away, I have some stuff to give to people, things that I won't need and don't want when I return in two years. I'm sure I will accumulate lots of other things in Benin to replace junk items that I'm currently trying to give away. Anyone want pottery, I've got three classes worth of ceramics.
Trying to plan for this trip is tough. At least I've gotten to the point where I have my plane tickets
booked, I leave from Albany at 9:30 on July 1st to fly to Philly, to get immunizations and some pre-training stuff done. Everyone who will be there is going to Benin. It'll be really nice to finally meet everyone, I've only chit chatted a little bit with a few of the people going. I can't say this enough, I'm extremely excited to go. I feel better about my decision everyday it comes closer, I have so many people who support me fully in my decision it really helps to grapple with the consequences of not seeing those people for two years. To have someone I love who I'm close to, tell me what I'm doing is the right thing is always nice to hear. So to all those I love who support me, I'd just like to say thanks it makes a big difference. Au revoir!
